News You Can Use

I recently spoke with the fine folks over at Achievement Oriented about Night Trap and scary video games and more, and I think it was good? You'll have to listen and tell me. I always go into a kind of fugue state when participating in these types of things, like I talk and my soul leaves my body and I keep talking and my soul looks down and is like "GIRL STOP YOU'RE LOSING THE PLOT" but I just keep going and then when it's all over I have no idea what went on or where my pants ended up. HASHTAG BLESSED.

And if that's not enough vidya games for ya, I also ranked Resident Evil games by their number of platform appearances over at Kotaku. It's kind of a post for Resident Evil nerds, aka it is a post for me.

I'm playing Destiny 2 and it's quite good, quite. Not as much of a time suck as the first go 'round, that's for sure. Many quality of life improvements, definitely some questionable changes. Of course, the game isn't "finished"–I mean, the game's story wrapped up, but as we all know there's a shit ton of content in the pipeline, expansions and the such. This is not a review of course, I am just saying. I'll probably write something a little more involved soon but right now I'm so busy I can't even finish this senten

disingenuous assertions

In Mass Effect, my canon Shepard is a Paragon- you know, the hero who saves the day. Sure, along the way she gets drunk frequently and won't hesitate to punch out a reporter or two, but generally she's a good guy (or girl, whatever).

Once in a while I do a Renegade run with a male Shepard, and I'm always shocked at what an asshole Shep can be when you choose...well, the asshole replies. Though I vastly prefer the game's female-flavored voice acting to the male, I've never done a Renegade female Shepard. After watching this hilarious video, though, I think it might be time to do it.

I wish there were more of those holy crap, I'm really flying through the air moments in Portal 2. That's not even a complaint, really. I love Portal.

Dudes, dudettes, and "prefer not to answer"s, I have been a drawing fool lately, cranking out all manner of stick figure cards of characters from Mass Effect, Dragon Age, and Final Fantasy XIII. In anticipation of next Tuesday's release of Portal 2 (PORTAL 2 ON TUESDAY PORTAL 2 ON TUESDAY!), developer Valve has produced Lab Rat, a 2-part comic that tells the story of that dude who scribbled messages all over the walls. If you played Portal, you know who and what I'm talking about. If you haven't played Portal, then you won't care. Also, if you haven't played Portal, why haven't you played Portal?
